 About the NTB

The National Training Board (NTB) is a Bermuda Government agency, helping to build an elite Bermudian labour force that meets the requirements of local and international employers- for today and the future.

We specialize in funding student’s education and aim in improving the quality and efficiency of training for people aspiring to engage in a technical career.

We have employees who have training and experience in the technical field. We understand that due to Bermuda’s changing economic activities, training and retraining employees is a crucial task. We provide such to better edify Bermuda’s labour force and work with employers, unions, industry associations, the Bermuda College and other agencies to ensure that technical and vocational training is available to all Bermudians.

Additionally, we offer an apprenticeship programme where you can work in your chosen field and be paid for it, while you are learning a valuable trade. There are 14 high-demand occupational areas that you can engage in as an apprentice.

We have developed a training and certification system for technical service workers that enable them to be industry oriented, nationally respected and internationally recognized. There are three occupations in the Bermuda workforce requiring national certification: Electricians, Automotive Service Technicians and Welders.
