Jeron Gunness - NEIT Graduate

I wanted to live a better life and I thought that going to college would be first step into making that possible.  My mother told me about (the) NTB and she had also arranged a meeting for me to talk about funding for school. I attended New England Institute of Technology and studied Architectural Technology. I enjoyed my time at NEIT, it was a nice experience, a new change, and a chance for me to mature and grow as a person.

My experience at NEIT was difficult, but at the same time I had fun and not only did I learn and grow in the classroom, I also grew outside of the classroom. Living on my own, making time and budgeting my money helped me grow as an individual and gave me a taste of what the working world is like. NEIT is not a big school; it has a little over 3000 students so we were able to get individual attention from our teachers.  One of the strengths of a technical institution is having one on one time with instructors. At most there were twenty students per class and technical schools are specifically designed to train you in your field of study so the time it takes to graduate isles than other school which require for to six years.

Having gone through this training, I have become more responsible; I also learned time management to always be on time and to also be able to work on more than one project and be able to get them all finished for their due dates. The work at NEIT was challenging at first. I had trouble understanding the work and wanted to change my field of study at one point. As time went on I began to better understand my schoolwork and the classes were starting to become more and more interesting and much more fun. The staff definitely cared about our progress and always found time to give individual time to students and their projects. If I had trouble understanding the work some instructors would tell me to stay after class and they helped me comprehend the work better.

I have gained confidence, self motivation, and the attitude to always want more in life and to give 100% in whatever I do. Anyone considering applying to NTB should prepare themselves for a wonderful experience and a journey of self discovery. The training and schooling acquired is well worth it and can help make your future ambitions come true.
